Goal: Provide a time and situation for students to develop contacts and networking skills. Increase faculty involvement with the Undergraduate Program. Increase standing of SPS.
Method: Provide an out-of-the-ordinary experience for professors and students alike (AKA treats that are not cookies or pizza).
Result: Students found new aspects of research to involve themselves. SPS developed primary contact, Dr. D’Urso, who has since provided the students with career-promising extracurricular projects. Membership in the group also increased.
